Hello October - Q3 Reflections & Goals for Q4
Hello October! 🎃 Can you believe we’re in Q4 already? Honestly, this year has flown by, and it feels like a good moment to pause, take stock, and share a little behind the scenes of how things are going in my business (and life).
At the end of each quarter, I like to reflect on what I’ve achieved, what felt challenging, and where I want to focus next. Q3 has been… a lot. Moving house has been both exciting and exhausting, and alongside working full-time and building my own business, I’ve definitely started to feel the toll. Tiredness and burnout have crept in, which hasn’t been easy to admit. But that’s real life, right? We keep moving.
Even though I didn’t hit every single goal (like creating another digital product), I’m still really proud of what I managed to achieve this past quarter.
✅ What I Got Done in Q3
Launched my third Skillshare course of the year - Story-First Social Media: Boost Engagement With Authentic Storytelling
Received some lovely class feedback & reviews (thank you to everyone who’s watched 🙏)
My class even got a Skillshare Staff Pick 🥹
Created two new freebies for my audience
Completed a freelance project and sent a proposal to a new client
Defined my freelance services and updated my website
Refined my brand values and messaging
Got new headshots (finally!)
And… moved house! 🏡 (a huge milestone that took up more energy than I realised)
When I look at it all written down, it’s a reminder that even though things have been hectic lately, I am still making progress.
🎯 Q4 Goals
For Q4, my focus is going to be a little different. I want to be realistic, focus on the things that matter most, and allow myself some space to rest too.
Here’s what I’ll be working towards:
Launch my final Skillshare course of the year (topic TBD — stay tuned!)
Soft launch my freelance services now that my site and offers are defined
Look for a business coach to support me as I take the next step in growing my business
Secure at least one freelance client before the end of the year
I know I can’t do it all, and that’s okay. For me, Q4 is about focusing on the things that will help me move forward sustainably, and cutting back on the things that drain me (yes, that means less time scrolling on social media 😅).
💭 Final Thoughts
Q3 wasn’t easy, but I’ve built a lot of foundations that will support me moving forward. Q4 feels like a season of building confidence in my freelance business, finishing the year strong with Skillshare, and setting myself up with support for 2026.
Now I’d love to know - what are your goals for Q4? Are you focusing on finishing something big, or slowing down and resting before the new year?
